Lisa & Michael at Avondale Lakehouse

Check out this Avondale Lakehouse wedding!

Situated at the edge of the lake, the Lakehouse offers a stunning ceremony site on the lawn and large inside reception venue.  Lisa and Michael had a gorgeous day there.

It began with a large floral circle decorated with the dark foliage of agonis, white wax flower and "free spirit" orange roses.

Below is my favorite picture from all of my 2018 weddings!  As Lisa and Michael were saying their vows, the geese that float around on the lake took off in flight and circled around the area honking and flapping as if they were celebrating for them!  It was truly a memorable moment!

The lake is a magical backdrop for photos.

Lisa's bouquet of agonis, italian ruscus, rosemary, scabiosa pods, "black bacarra" rose, "orange unique" roses, lavender and ranunculus was perfect for the earthy tones of the lake.

Detail of the spray on the floral circle.  Rental of the circle is available and price depends upon the amount of foliage and flowers chosen to cover it.

Boutonnieres for Mike and his groomsmen.

Aisle markers of rosemary, agonis, scabiosa and roses dressed up the walk.

These two cuties announced the arrival of the bride.

The porch of the Lakehouse was decorated with macrame swag, potted grasses, plants and herbs and the increasingly popular pampas grass.

Inside tables were centerpieces of vases with mixed blooms and potted herbs.

Potted herbs are great centerpiece options because your guests can grab one on their way home and actually use it!

These little cocktail table pieces came out cuter than I thought!  The clay dishes are the perfect size for the highboys.

Congrats to Lisa and Michael!  It was a true pleasure working with you both.

Gatsby Bash at Rhodes Hall

Fernanda and Jeff
wed in Gatsby fashion at the iconic Rhodes Hall on Peachtree Street.  This venue is special to me because I was married there!  I love its style, elegance and the history it represents.

Of course, real ostrich feathers were used for this affair.  Over 600 to be exact!  Champagne colored ostrich feathers were added to the boutonnieres and featured throughout the entire wedding.

Fernanda's bridal bouquet featured anemones, white roses, majolica spray roses, stock, ranunculus and springerii.

Pearl wristlets with ranunculus and spray roses for the mothers and grandmothers were delivered on a sterling silver tray.

Gorgeous art deco inspired earrings amongst the feathers.

Bridesmaids bouquets were similar to the bride, just a bit smaller.

Flower halo for the flower girl.

Pretty blooms and prosecco to start the day!

Fernanda with the gorgeous blue hair was a stunning bride.

Her bridesmaids were so excited to be a part of her day.  ;)

Sparkly gowns for the girls hit that Gatsby-style head on.

Sparkly headpieces added the final perfect touch.

Ostrich feathers surrounded the couple for the ceremony at the base of the ornate stairway.

Small guest tables featured art deco rose gold votives as well as small lamp centerpieces reminiscent of the era.

Cocktail tables featured oil lamp vases with monstera leaves, springerii and anemones.

Table numbers were art deco perfect.

Married!  Guests even came in suits and dresses inspired by '20s fashion.

Jeff surprised Fernanda by flying in her brother who was originally unable to attend the ceremony.  She was surprised right before she walked down the aisle.  There were tears all around.

Large buffet pieces of palm, monstera and springerii graced the satin and pearl draped tables.
Catering by Talk of the Town.

This croquembouche was amazing!

I've said this before but I love when the groom holds the bouquet!

Such a gorgeous shot.

On top of Rhodes Hall and looking toward the future.  It was a joy working with these two!  Fernanda has a keen eye for detail and brought her vision to life in sparkles, blooms, feathers and glam.
Here's to the happy family and a Happy Life!
