Lauren & Josh // Cator-Woolford Gardens

Lace from her mother's dress.  A locket with family photos.  These are the details that make weddings sweet.  Lauren was a sheer pleasure to work with, a true D-I-Y 'er who put thought into every aspect of her day.

The gardens were full and lush at the end of April and perfect for an outside ceremony followed by lawn games during the cocktail hour and a seated dinner under twinkling lights (strung maypole style by friends).

Wooden boxes filled with vintage vases held a bright collection of purple and blue flowers.

Iris, hydrangea, stock, delphinium,  larkspur, bachelor buttons, veronica, 'cool water' roses, queen anne's lace, lisianthus, lambs ear, freesia, and dusty miller created a gorgeous collection of earthy, organic naturalness!

The pop of blue napkins against the grey linens added an extra layer of beauty to the table.  I love when brides use colored linens!

Cake by Southern Sweets (and they had donuts by Sublime, too)!.

All in all, a delightful garden affair.  Best to you both - Lauren and Josh!!

Jennifer & Brent / Auburn & Georgia

Cute marries cute!  Jennifer & Brent were married at All Saints Church in Dunwoody with a reception at The Retreat at Perimeter Summit.

Jennifer's bouquet of  white hydrangeas, stock, garden roses, freesia and mini callas mixed with a few hypericum berries complimented the "clean, simple, comfortable and fun" look she wanted.  Her dress was comfortable and fun too but with a magnificent floral accent at the waist.

Soft grey chiffon bridesmaids dresses were a subtle touch of color.  Photographer Shannon Wright composed some great wedding party shots at The Retreat.

The reception venue has a giant wall of windows which allows for a wonderful abundance of natural light.

I love this Georgia/Florida shot (above) with the background image of Jennifer's shoes with a blue/orange accent and Brent's red/black striped socks.  She also has orange and blue toenails!

The wedding day garter was also a nod to her alma mater.

Note the green shoes for the wedding day!

Sweet Martha Stewart-inspired wedding cake with garden rose and berry accents.

Jennifer was a lovely bride and the day was expertly coordinated by Hester Parks of Park Avenue Events.

A fond memory of this wedding was arriving at the church with the wedding party flowers in the midst of the "wedding gown zipper crisis".  Of course, it was resolved and the dress finally zipped, but oh! the drama...
