Cator Woolford with Amy + Dan

Gorgeous is all I can say about Amy!  And her groom was adorable.

Pre-wedding photos were taken on the Emory University campus.

Her lush green and white bouquet was a lovely mix of super green roses, cymbidium orchids, sweet peas, mint, and kermit poms.

A sweet boutonniere of white kalanchoe and scented geranium leaf.

I love the mothers' traditional wedding garb.  They were like little dolls!

Mint was used in their signature drink as well as the homemade lip balm wedding favors.

Amy wanted a collection of vintage vases on each table to hold a serene and lightly fragrant mix of white and green flowers - peonies, stock, sweet peas, queen anne's lace, super green roses, kermit mums, mint, scented geranium, and lisianthus.

She purchased the clever luminaries/table numbers from etsy.

 Homemade photo booth fun!

A quick change into a short, funky dress made dancing the night away very easy!

More Lindsay and Ben

Again, photos courtesy of Christine Gallagher photography. Beautiful shots of all the details. bloom created three different centerpieces for the reception. The small one in the upper left was outside on the patio. A glass vase, wrapped in burlap and moss ribbon and filled with sword fern, fiddlehead fern, sweet pea, ranunculus, bells of ireland, snapdragons, montbretia and poppies.

The image underneath that is a wrought iron candletree. These were used inside The Trolley Barn and along with the 10 votive cups at the top of the tree, three additional votive cups were hung from its branches to bring candlelight to all levels of the room. Smaller votives were nestled at the base of the tree. (click on an image to see larger size) And of course, butterflies were everywhere! They even had a package of live butterflies that were released when Lindsay and Ben arrived at the reception.

First pics of Lindsay and Ben

Here's a photo montage of the first pictures released from Lindsay and Ben's wedding on September 12. They were married at the Decatur United Methodist Chapel with a reception at The Trolley Barn. Lindsay is a true creative soul and her handiwork is evident here in the fabric flower hair clips worn by some of the bridesmaids. She handmade lots of other things as well, as you will see...

If you look closely at her bouquet, a tiny turquoise butterfly is perched amongst poppies, freesia, snapdragons, sweet peas, astilbe, nerines and rosemary. I'll admit that she cried when she saw her bouquet! She's gorgeous and doesn't her groom look like Dave Matthews?

Aromatherapy

The ranunculus whispers to the lilac.

The lilac hugs the mint.

The french lavender stands proud.

The pink ranunculus smiles pretty.

The soft pink hydrangea waits patiently.

All together now.
This has got to be the most fragrant arrangement I've ever made! White stock, purple sweet pea, lilac, french lavender, hydrangea, ranunculus and the most delicious smelling mint. Perfect for a personal "vow renewal" ceremony and dinner.

May Madness - begins...

It's busy, busy, busy here at bloom. Here's a little peek at what's going on...

Some wedding work - sweetpeas, cymbidium orchids, maidenhair fern

The GBAA (Ga. Business Aviation Assoc.) dinner at Evergreen Resort. Hydrangea, hanging amaranthus, sea thistle

And a rehearsal dinner at Wahoo - (a Decatur favorite)

Pincushion protea, sea thistle, euforia roses, white boronia (a type of heather), celosia, myrtle and bear grass.
The studio is full! (and yet, I found a little time to blog...imagine.)
