Jessica & William - Classically elegant

Jessica and William's wedding was an elegant, organic, classic beauty.  Just like Jessica!

Take a look at these photos from The Glenn Memorial Chapel and The Old Courthouse on the Square, Decatur.  I have worked with Jessica's mother in the wedding industry and was excited to be able to provide fresh, summery florals for her June wedding.

 Cream and silver bouquets of peonies, stock, dahlias, astilbe, ranunculus, dusty miller and eucalyptus.

 

Jessica and William embraced all their nieces and nephews and had a total of 7 children in the wedding party!  

And each flower girl wore a halo of white tea rose and boxwood.

They also carried sweet little wands that said "hooray"!

Floral clusters of eucalyptus, stock, babies breath and roses tied with cream ribbon beautifully lined the aisle.  I love the checkerboard floor in the Chapel.

Who doesn't love bagpipes at weddings!

Off to the Courthouse in style!

I love the simple niche decor of a eucalyptus and lemonleaf garland and candles.

Table centerpieces were collections of clear glass vessels which held pastel summer blooms.

A nice selection of spirits was available.

Guests names were written on wooden disks nestled in moss for a simple, yet elegant escort plan.

Sweet tiny cupcake desserts.

Love their cake topper with two kitties!

Karen - Bridal portrait session

Karen was my first bride to do a pre-wedding day bridal portrait session.  A couple weeks before the big day, I provided a gorgeous bouquet of white peonies which was identical to the one she would use on her wedding day. 

She spent an afternoon at The Old Decatur Courthouse with her photographer Joseph Aczel .  She is relaxed (and gorgeous!), the courtroom is empty and she was able to wear her dress more than one time.  The photos are stunning.  I think it's a good investment.

Carrie + Dan at Emory's Little Chapel and The Carlos Museum

It was truly a pleasure working with Carrie! She and Dan married at Emory's Little Chapel with a reception at The Michael C. Carlos Museum (on the Emory campus). Her request was for soft blush tones and a very romantic and textural look for her bridal party flowers.

Her bouquet was a mix of white and pink peonies, seeded eucalyptus, stock, viburnum, ranunculus, peach roses, lilac, scabiosa, spirea, and lavender.

Corsages for the mothers and grandmothers - Carrie had accents of gold throughout her wedding day so I used a gold-edged ivory ribbon for the pin-ons. (photo taken with iphone - apologies!).

Her gorgeous rosette cake was done by The Flour Shoppe.

Obviously the groom was a graduate of Georgia Tech!

Placecards were printed on gold metallic with architectual design detail.

This was the sign in poster - very vintage and sweet - it may have been an etsy, not sure.

Tablecenters were similar to the bridal party except in bolder hues. Linens were a soft peach and each table was named for a destination which Carrie and Dan had traveled together. Tablecenter flowers were hanging amaranthus, scented geranium, ranunculus, peonies, wax flower, lilac, peach roses, lavender tulips, hydrangea, scabiosa, lavender, viburnum and stock. Their scent was divine!

Finally! Erin and Blake

Oh, I've been waiting so long for these! Erin and Blake were married in May at The Old Courthouse on the Square in Decatur. I've dubbed them the "sweetest couple ever" because they are just that! They are both devoted to dancing and you can see some of Blake's moves here. There are so many photos from this day that I want to share! Photography by Aregrayline Photography.

Part 1:

Here's how it all started. Blake proposed to Erin on the square in Decatur by "writing" words on magnolia leaves. I was quite impressed by this gesture and since using magnolia flowers in bridal bouquets doesn't work that well (because they don't hold up), I suggested that instead we write on the leaves included in Erin's bouquet.

Blake then took it one step further. He "wrote a continuous poem with the thought that each line could be a leaf and that it would still convey meaning whatever order you read it in". He provided me the poem and I wrote each line on a leaf.

As much as I want to, I'm not going to show any more of the leaves except this one. I typed up the little poem and tucked it inside a tiny envelope and attached it to Erin's bouquet.

Her bouquet consisted of white peonies, pink calla lilies, green and white hydrangeas, pink ranunculus and gardenia leaves. The stems were wrapped with ti leaves, no ribbon.

I love this shot of the bouquet at the base of the tree.

Now, here's Blake doing what he does best...

He's definitely got some moves.

That's all for today. I've got some orders to work on as well as three proposals! I'm glad it is a rainy day. Now, if it was only cold enough for a fire.....it'd be perfect!

Hiawassee - Brittany and David

Finally! The photos are rolling in! Let's go back to Brittany and David's wedding in Hiawasee at the beginning of May.



A misty lakeside ceremony was spared a rain shower.

I couldn't resist this birdhouse shot.

Brittany's bouquet was comprised of white peonies, white sweet pea, green cymbidium orchids and maidenhair fern. We used lace from her mother's wedding gown to wrap the bouquets.

Boutonnieres for the guys were white and purple sweet pea with a sprig of maidenhair fern.

The girls' eggplant dresses were complemented by white and purple sweet pea, green cymbidium orchids and maidenhair fern bouquets.

I love this image of one of the mother's posy with the bridesmaid's in the background. You can see they had some of the wedding gown lace too.

The lake was so many different colors of grey and green that day. It was a shimmery backdrop to the ceremony.

And, another photo with no flowers, but love it!
