Caroline & Jamie at The Georgian Terrace

Caroline and Jamie's wedding was a wonderful salute to her Chinese heritage.

Chinese tradition states that the groom and his men pick up the bride from her parent's home before the ceremony.  Tradition also dictates that the bridesmaids set up challenges to test the groom's devotion.  Jamie was definitely tested...

First, he had to endure waxing of his leg hair...

Next, he and his groomsmen had to watch a music video and then re-enact it with pink feather boas and pink long gloves...

And finally, they all had to drink different 'tastes' to represent what is in store for them in marriage "sweet times, sour times, bitter times, spicy times...".  Poor Jamie had to drink a concoction of all four!

I have no idea what was in that bowl but it looks nasty!

The Chinese also pour tea to show respect to their parents and grandparents.

After all the pre-ceremony festivities, it was time to head to the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church.

Caroline chose a color palette of white, soft pink, and peach with a few pops of darker pink and orange.
Hydrangea, babies breath, spray roses, standard roses, peonies, stock, rice flower, brunia and lambs ear comprised her flower collection.

Caroline and Jamie also chose to add foot washing to their ceremony as a 'sign of our commitment to serve one another as Jesus served us.  Our desire is that rather than competing for who gets the recognition, the right, the final word, and so forth, we want to serve each other even when it is hard - trusting that this posture before each other and before God will serve and strengthen our marriage, and also help us to better serve those around us as well."

The reception was held at The Georgian Terrace.

Centerpieces were a combination of tall for the estate table...

and vintage vase collections for the guest tables...

along with vintage compote vases.

After a memorable evening with friends and family, Jamie changed into a white tuxedo and Caroline into a stunning sequined gown to end the evening with a splash!

K & L at Summerour

 Summerour Studio is a fantastic venue for a wedding and/or reception.  Lisa and Kevin were married at Dunwoody Methodist with the reception at Summerour.   Bridesmaid bouquets of white hydrangea, white roses, freesia and lisianthus popped dramatically off the girls' charcoal grey long dresses.

Farm tables with gold chiavari chairs - a perfect combination of rustic and elegant.

"All you need is love"...on the cake.

Lisa's bouquet of white hydrangeas, white roses, freesia and lily-of-the valley in memory of her grandmother.

Kevin's boutonniere of white spray rose and bunny tail.  That is definitely the face of groom seeing his bride for the first time on their wedding day.

Dana & Will - Decatur Courthouse

Another classic Decatur wedding!

Aisle decor of silk petals (no real petals are allowed in the Courthouse) and candles.

Bridesmaids bouquets of dusty miller and standard mums.  Simple and elegant.

Bridal bouquet of white peonies, white standard mums, white ranunculus, and purple roses.  Bouquet handle adorned with a sparkly brooch that matched the sash of the bride's gown.

Monica & Travis and the cutest flower girl ever...

With a touch of sparkle, Monica and Travis were wed at  Country Club of the South.
A color palette of cream, grey and green came alive with stock, ranunculus, brunia berry, succulents, scabiosa pods, dusty miller, supergreen roses and dianthus.

I always love this type of bouquet shot.

And this, perhaps, is the cutest flower girl I have ever seen with a sweet halo of spray roses and brunia berry.

Table centerpieces were nestled in copper mercury glass vases and footed bowls.

And yes, it was an Auburn marries Georgia affair.

Oh my goodness...she is adorable.

Sigh...

I am writing to thank you for your services on the occasion of our daughter, Lisa's, wedding.  The flowers were beautiful and exactly what Lisa wanted and envisioned!

You are a very talented, capable and gracious person. We appreciated your patience as we changed and made final decisions on florals and table decor. 

Most of all, I was very impressed with your attention to detail on the day of the wedding. You were very flexible when we changed the location of First Look photos due to rain and cold. 

I was impressed that you did not just drop off the bridal party flowers but waited to present Lisa's bouquet personally.
